EXPERTISE
Mr. Warling has participated in and managed a variety of consulting and brokerage transactions ranging from the sale of investment properties to the sale and lease of commercial, industrial and office buildings, and has completed over 500 transactions, valued at over $1 billion. Mr Warling brought that experience to bear in the founding of Bluestone Realty Advisors in 2005, where he is responsible for all aspects of the company's strategic planning, training, and day to day operations.
In just two years, Mr. Warling grew Bluestone Realty Advisors to the number one commercial real estate brokerage in Washtenaw County, with a total portfolio of properties for lease or sale of over 3.2 million square feet.
CAREER SUMMARY
As President and CEO, Mr. Warling heads Bluestone Realty Advisors with over twenty (20) years of commercial real estate experience. From July of 1999 to December of 2004, he was a Senior Vice President for Grubb & Ellis. Prior to his tenure with Grubb & Ellis, Mr. Warling spent three (3) years as a Director of Cushman & Wakefield of Michigan and eleven (11) years with Coldwell Banker/CB Commercial Real Estate (now CB Richard Ellis), where he held the title of Vice President. In his tenure at Cushman & Wakefield and Grubb & Ellis, Mr. Warling consistently placed in the top 100 producing brokers nationally, and in his final two years at Grubb & Ellis in 2003 and 2004, was the number 17 and number 10 top producing broker nationally, in those respective years.
Prior to entering his career in commercial real estate, Mr. Warling was the Executive Assistant of U.S. Congressman Chalmers Wylie of Columbus, Ohio, where he was responsible for managing the daily operations of the district office, including constituent and media relations. Mr. Warling graduated from Ohio State University with a B.A. and M.A. in Public Administration.
AFFILIATIONS
Mr. Warling is a member of the Society of Office and Industrial Realtors, (SIOR), a leading professional commercial and industrial real estate association. SIOR represents today's most knowledgeable, experienced, and successful commercial real estate brokerage specialists. He is also a member of the Ann Arbor Board of Realtors, the Michigan Commercial Board of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.
Mr. Warling's community activities include serving as a Board Member and Vice President of Membership for the Friends of the University of Michigan Art Museum, and most recently as the newly elected President, presiding over that organization during the reopening of the new museum in the spring/summer of 2009. He also served on the Development Board for the Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist, a growing religious community located in Ann Arbor, Michigan.
